The Veolia Mardyke Trust is an independent registered charity, which funds projects close to the landfill site in South Ockendon, which includes South Ockendon, North Stifford, Stifford Clays, Aveley, Kenningtons, Grays and Blackshots north of Lodge Lane, Orsett and Bulphan, and Purfleet west of the railway line, all in Thurrock, Essex. Occasionally it will fund projects in other parts of Thurrock.
The Trust receives its funding from Veolia ES (UK) Ltd, receiving both Landfill Tax Credits and substantial voluntary donations from Veolia ES (UK) Ltd
